Do Ye Not Therefore Err?

Text: Mark 12:18-27

They knew the words but not the power. The read the truth but did not know the truth.

Today men have the bible but "do greatly err" about things essential.

1. Men Err about the word of God

1. In the manner of its inspiration
2. In the perfection of its revelation
3. In the need of the Spirit's illumination

2. men err about the sovereignty of God

1. In the exercise of his power
2. In the entrustment of his power
3. In the execution of his mercy
4. In the endowment of his grace

3. men err about the son of God

1. He is the Lamb of God
2. He is the Bread of Heaven
3. He is the Rock of Ages
4. He is the Coming King

3. Men err about the church of God

1. Gathered from a prepared material
2. Gathered by an appointed Messiah
3. Commissioned by a designated Commander
4. Going to a prepared place by our sure Hope

3. Men Err about the Salvation of God

1. Regarding the nature of the new birth
2. Regarding the necessity of the new birth
3. Regarding the source of the new birth
4. Regarding the method of the new birth
5. Regarding the results of the new birth
